About Hype
Digital is expanding
Marie holds a degree in Interactive Design from the Danish School of Media and Journalism. Though Marie handles pixels with a firm grip, she finds her inspiration in the tactile world — Marie is also a tailor by trade.
Kasper is a Graphic Designer from the Graphic Arts Institute of Denmark and he is no stranger to e-Types, as he has been working freelance for a few years. Latest, Kasper has been working as a digital designer at Re-public. Kasper is digital to the bone and in his spare time he develops apps — the time tracker app Timee being the latest result of this skills.
e-Types are looking to become even stronger digitally and therefore we are always on the lookout for cutting edge digital designers and frontend developers. If you want to join a workplace where digital media is rapidly merging with a strong, traditional design tradition, do not hesitate to send your portfolio our way!
Globalized localized
Restaurant A Porta in Copenhagen stand in front of a new beginning as McDonalds opens in the historic location. e-Types made sure that local history were present in the new setting. The interior decorations celebrate former regulars as HC Andersen and Søren Kierkegaard as well as fashionable neighbours like Hotel D’Angleterre and Kgs. Nytorv. In that way the local is merged with the global.

About Hype
From online to offline and back again
Years ago when we extended the Playtype foundry to also contain physical products in a the Concept Store, LS:N Global called us a great example of how an online brand can merge with the real world.
Now we are going back on our old premises and features all our Playtype designs in our brand new online concept store. We welcome you to the great store opening at store.playtype.com.
Go create!
A FabLab (fabrication laboratory) is a workshop where everyone gets the possibility to give ideas a physical form. Through cutting edge technology like laser cutters, 3d printers, and CNC milling machines creative souls are able to convert their wildest dreams and ideas to prototypes and even final products.
Placed in Næstved the Danish FabLab is a part of the so-called Maker Movement. A movement that through cooperation, innovation, and modern technology empower people and bridges the gap between the digital and the analogue world.
e-Types designed a visual identity that expresses the spirit that lies in the FabLab. With a design that is constantly changing and adapting to the context the identity inherits some of the creativity and innovative approach that surrounds the FabLab. Visit the website at www.fablabdenmark.dk.
We do photography!
Senior designer, Emil Hartvig Andersen and project manager, Lasse Bech Martinussen are both on display at this year's Copenhagen Photo Festival. The festival aims at presenting significant Danish and international contemporary photography in urban space, art and cultural institutions, galleries and schools.
Even though their styles and genres are different, Emil and Lasse both excel in photography and share a passion for the field as something that on the one hand creates an outlet for that untamed creative energy and on the other hand, it generates ideas and inspiration for their work at e-Types.
In addition to their work at the festival Lasse was awarded 'Best Magazine Cover 2011' by MDID for his photo of the Danish rap outfit, Malk de Koijn — Ud & Se, August 2011. And last year, Emil was featured in The Independent's Art section in relation to his "Jockeys" photo series from 2009.
e-Types highly recommends the Copenhagen Photo Festival, running from 7th-17th of June 2012.
And the winner is...
This means a gold for Berlingske in the editorial design category; gold for Berlingske typeface in the type design category, silver for playtype.com in the e-commerce digital design and finally bronze for Shane's Magical Friends in the non-food packaging design category in co-op with designer, Line Kruger.
Creative Circle Award was handed out for the first time in 1992. Back then the award was called the Guldkorn Award and originally only intended for the most creative persons within the advertising industry. Today, 20 years later, Creative Circle Award has developed into Denmark’s biggest and most significant award within all the creative industries.
We are proud and grateful.
