e-Types now finalists for Index:Award 2009

The e-Types designed Amgross Medilabel Safety System has now reached the finals in the largest design award in the world – the Index:Award 2009. The award is dedicated to change global mindsets by showing and exploring how design can improve life. 
Medication errors are the most commonly reported treatment errors in the hospital sector. Every year 9% of all patients admitted to a hospital in Denmark fall victim to unintentional events or medical errors, and estimates indicate that up to 25% of all medication errors are due to confusion related either to the name of the medicine or the packaging design. According to the Danish Society for Patient Safety, one unintentional error equals seven extra days in hospital per patient. 


In 2008, The Association of Hospital Pharmacies in Denmark, their purchasing company, Amgros, and e-Types, launched a new label design to give health professionals new tools to minimize medication errors. The result was an elaborate design and colour system with a specially designed and easy-to-read typeface. 


The new labels are already in use in hospital dispensaries in the Danish health sector and in 2008 more than 1,290,000 medical products were produced with the new labels. 


The Index:Award 2009 prize amounts to an impressive € 500.000 and will be presented in Copenhagen in August 2009.

Kaleidoskop Theatre awarded Gold for Best Corporate Print at Creative Circle Awards 2009

Pop Art, Punk and Fashion defined the seasonal poster which kept the underground theater's vibe and energy intact while creating a recognizable and powerful visual statement that sets itself apart on Copenhagen´s streets.   
e-Types designed the new seasonal posters for the Kaleidoskop Theatre. The posters marked the beginning of a new season at Kaleidoskop and also the climax of a strategic partnership between e-Types and Kaleidoskop that has lasted since 2006. The partnership, born out of the need to combine the two stages K1 and K2 in one shared communicative platform, has since resulted in a visual style that aims at a newfound pertinence for the theatrical arts - one that can fathom the very relevant and contemporary thematics dealt with in modern drama and communicate it to a dynamic urban audience.

The Creative Circle Awards are Denmarks largest prize ceremony for creative communication. Every year the advertising community votes for the best concept  within advertising, digital media and design. The awards aim to heighten the creative standard for the danish industry and projects are chosen on account the basis of original and inspiring idea, adherence to context and quality of execution.

DR Koncerthuset wins Gold for Best Corporate Identity at Creative Circle Awards 2009

"For challenging conventions and establishing new standards" explained the jury when e-Types was awarded a Gold Creative Circle Award for the visual identity program developed for DR Koncerthuset. The award was one out of two received by e-Types friday night at Creative Circle, Denmark's largest creative communication prize ceremony. 
The Danish Broadcasting Corporation's (DR) new concert venue, simply titled Koncerthuset (i.e. The Concert House) is the ambitious new attempt at establishing a new national scene for the musical arts.

Designed by world-renowned architect Jean Nouvel, the venue is one of the most stunning and untraditional architectural feats in Danish history. e-Types designed the visual identity which aesthetically compliments the venues ground-breaking architectural style and music profile while communicating the four separate studios and the plethora of musical styles, genres and activities contained under DR Koncerthuset's roof.

Winner of The Danish Design Award 2007

e-Types and the strategic advertising agency DDB were awarded the Danish Design Award 2007 on March 29 for their joint effort to create the visual identity for Carlsberg's speciality brewery Jacobsen.
Jacobsen embodies the very essence of Carlsberg's brewing traditions and heritage and the brewery itself is placed in one of the oldest facilities at Carlsberg in Copenhagen where it all started. Jacobsen is a series of highly intellegently crafted beers combining the brewers' craftmanship with inspiration from several international beer types.

Jacobsen has put Carlsberg at the center of the Danish market for speciality beers and sales figures surpass even the most optimistic of the original projections. This success is the foundation for Jacobsen's leap onto several international markets.

e-Types and DDB have designed the visual identity of Jacobsen including logo and logotype, bottles, labels, packaging and even the horse-drawn wagons used for speciality deliveries in the Copenhagen area.
