At Climate for Change 1000 Danish executives met at the largest industrial political summit of the year. The agenda of the summit was the will to change - as Hans Skov Christensen, CEO for DI, said: 'In a global economy there are no shortcuts. It is the strong will for change, which is the way ahead'.

e-Types developed the visual identity for the Summit. The design is closely linked to the visual identity of DI which e-Types developed in the summer 2008. The design only uses the special made typographies that e-Types has developed for DI and the two colours cyan and silver.

The visual identity is extremely simple, clean and understated - and this is just what makes it so bold and strong. The unique details of the letters become the decoration and the ever-changing colour tones of the mixed between cyan and silver brings variety and dynamics to the design.

The design was a simple yet powerful backdrop for the summit. The brief was to make the design distinctive but understated - attention should be focused on the content. Yet it was crucial that the design expressed and strengthened the messages and purpose of the summit. Using letters and words as the main design element made it possible for DI to communicate attitude and position through the graphical design. This proved to be a very powerful tool at the summit as it was possible to literally frame the summit in the stated messages of DI.

The next DI summit is to be held in September 2009.
