Sculptural Launch
For the city of Ebeltoft a rather unusual exhibition marked the start of a new building project by schmidt hammer lassen architects. Four architectural platforms incorporated text and sound to form
the centrepiece of a truly unique experience marking the start of the project on the waterfront in Ebeltoft harbour.
In close collaboration with schmidt hammer lassen and Tękker Consultant Engineers, e-Types conceptualized, designed and launched the exhibition that at the same time marked the beginning of an
innovative building process designed to engage the end-user in dialogue. Thereby, allowing them to leave their fingerprints on the final result. As part of the process, the platforms are designed
to invite visitors to reflect upon their hopes and dreams for the new homes in Ebeltoft.
The launch included a live performance by electronica duo Filur and the revealing of the vision behind the project by Creative Director Bjarne Hammer of schmidt hammer lassen. The architectural
vision, which is still under development, rethinks the traditional idea of housing, creating sculptural buildings on the water, allowing citizens and residents to traverse the area through a
system of wooden bridges, thereby creating a new and unique city space offering a remarkable view over the waterfront.
