Stick a fork in your eye!

e-Types designed the exhibition identity for Statens Museum for Kunst (The State Museum of Art - ed.) marking the centenary of Wilhelm Freddie's birth.
With approx. 130 works, it is the first exhibition of its kind, showing all sides of Freddie's life's work: paintings, collages and sculptures including lesser known aspects of Wilhelm Freddie´s wide-ranging and sometimes controversial work, such as his films, ballets, haute couture, window dressing, happenings and even reproductions of lost works.

Wilhelm Freddie (1909 - 1995), always the provocateur and notorious for his self promotion, is an extraordinary one-of-a-kind in Danish art. In constant opposition to the etiquette of the time, he was an artist who found inspiration in the latest trends of the international art scene. As a result, he quickly became a leading figure at exhibitions of surrealist art in Scandinavia and the rest of Europe.

The signature painting used for posters, postcards, banners etc is Freddie's 'Zola og Jeanne Rozérot' painted in 1938.

The exhibition runs from February 28 to June 1, 2009.
