The design system provides an easily recognizable and modern profile that signals DI's relevance for all lines of businesses rather than solely the heavy industry segment that was DI's traditional focus.

Custom made typography
Along with the identity components - the logo, colours, and grid - e-Types created two unique typefaces DI Sans and DI Serif which complete and compliment the design program. This way the identity becomes the sum of all its design elements rather than just a logo, with the typefaces probably the strongest design components.


Jonas Hecksher, Partner and Creative Director in e-Types, explains:

"Of course the logo is a central element but the logo needs to be viewed as a part of a whole. The new identity is reflected everywhere you encounter DI: In the colours of the homepage and its affiliate programs, in the grid and layout of all its communications and even in the quality of the paper used in its print. We wanted to make sure that in every aspect of DI's communication - every piece of correspondence sent and in every single letter typed - the DI identity stands out with strength and elegance. Especially the typography communicates the DI identity: the serif font is classical but with edge and attitude and the sans is open and modern - it's DI's identity condensed into its smallest components."
