PLAYTYPE™ Type Foundry & Concept Store
A new typographic concept store, the first of its kind, has opened in Copenhagen to celebrate the revamp of one of Europe's foremost online font shops,
playtype.com.
The font collection is the culmination of over 20 years of type design, with many typefaces never having been publicly available until now. And all will be available to buy in the actual shop.
With the PLAYTYPE™ concept store, customers can walk in and buy fonts - sold in a specially designed USB that looks like a credit card - either for themselves or as gifts for type enthusiasts.
The store also feature a number of products and editions such as t-shirts, posters, notebooks - some designed by e-Types, some in collaboration with friends and colleagues from the design, fashion and art worlds.
The shop in Copenhagen will be open for only one year, in 2011. Playtype.com however, is here to stay.
