Once a year New Media Days opens it´s doors for 800 participants in what is rapidly becoming a yearly landmark for professionals from all walks of life who all share one common obsession; new media in all its glorious forms and shapes. Held in Koncerthuset, the conference features talks and lectures by a wide variety of players, with input from both cutting-edge developers and traditional media, all there to give their opinion of where the future is headed.
Designing the website and identity, the e-Types team wanted to reflect not only the mentality of the people who work around the clock to put the conference together, but also the mentality of the web itself. Hence, the logo is dynamic and ever-changing, abstract and playful - designed to be hacked, pulled apart, mutated and remixed like the media itself. "We made a lot of choices, both as to the functionality of the site - tweets, video, "share-ability" and so on, but also as to what we wanted to convey in the overall identity. Finally we settled on a more elegant feel than many of the other more "tinker-based" conferences. Apart from the quality of the event, we also settled on the golden color scheme, because we believe that conferences like this, where people meet across fields, have the ability to open up new roads and new ideas - and that is truly golden!" explains Mathias Jespersen, Senior Designer at e-Types.
Check out the site, see who will be there and grab a talk or two in the archive over at New Media Days' site here
